Items marked mandatory must be completed

By applying for a permit, you are agreeing with the below terms and conditions and declaring that all the information submitted is true and to the best of your knowledge accurate. If any information is false, the permit will be cancelled and further action taken by the Council.
  • Parking Services do not send out renewal reminders, and if you allow the permit to expire before renewing you must use other methods of parking until new permit is received. Please note it is not a guarantee that you will receive a new one upon expiry. Mid Sussex District Council has the right to not issue a permit for a number of reasons, including lack of space in the zone or the number of permits your household already has.
  • Your permit must be clearly displayed so the expiry and vehicle details on the face of the permit are visible from the front of the windscreen.
  • Parking Services will not accept an application to renew a permit if received more than one month before expiry
  • The permit must only be used in the vehicle(s) stated on the permit.
  • If you have changed your vehicle you must surrender your current permit to receive a replacement. See point 8 & 9 for of the Resident Permit Guidance on our website for further details.
  • Any permit that has been altered will be invalid and a Penalty Charge Notice (parking fine) will be issued.
  • Having access to a Resident Permit does not guarantee a place to park
  • A Resident Permit is only valid in bays where resident permits are accepted. You cannot use it in any other on-street bay or a car park.
  • A Resident Permit is only valid for the zone you live in, and it cannot be transferred.
  • Inappropriate use of the permit may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being issued and/or the withdrawal of your permit.
  • Once you have received the permit you must read the details on the back for further terms of use.
  • A permit cannot be transferred to someone else. If you no longer need your permit it will be cancelled. We will not re-issue it in another person’s name. The individual will need to apply for their own permit.
  • If you move out of the Controlled Parking Zone you must surrender your permit immediately
  • Any permit issued by Mid Sussex District Council remains the property of Mid Sussex District Council. We retain the rights to withdraw any permit at any time, without any prior notice.
  • Please note that having a Resident Permit does not guarantee you a space in your road. If you arrive in your road to find there is no space available, you are required find suitable alternative means of parking.
